Human editing

Careful, expert editing
by experienced scientific editors.

For papers where language quality matters most — a professional editor with 10+ years of SCI editing experience works through your manuscript sentence by sentence.

A separate, quote-based service — not part of the free AI pilot, and the 24-hour delivery promise does not apply.

Two tiers

Standard Editing

US$0.06/word

  • Spelling, grammar & punctuation
  • Terminology accuracy & consistency
  • Precise wording, native-English conventions

Premium Editing

US$0.08/word

  • Everything in Standard, plus:
  • Structure, logic & style — revised or with concrete suggestions
  • Basic journal formatting

Charged in USD by English word count — references are never counted. 5% off for 5,000+ words · 10% off for 10,000+ words.

Free re-checks: editor queries and post-submission reviewer language comments are re-checked at no charge.

Which tier should I choose?

Both tiers work at the language level. Less writing experience, or extensive language issues needing more editor time → Premium. Experienced authors who mainly need a careful language check → Standard. Revising after peer review? If reviewers only ask for language editing, Standard is usually enough.

No. Editor queries and post-submission reviewer language comments are re-checked free of charge. A fee may apply only to extensively rewritten or newly added content, and only to those portions.

We follow your target journal's requirement first, then your explicit preference; if neither is specified, we default to American English.

No. References, citations, figure/table numbers, data, and equations are never altered in content — language edits never change your science.
